Charlie Baker began his legal career as an associate with Belser & Belser, a predecessor firm to Baker, Ravenel & Bender, L.L.P. His broad-spectrum civil defense practice has in recent years focused on Appellate Law and Insurance Coverage, areas in which he has extensive experience.
Baker studied law at the University of South Carolina, where he also earned his undergraduate degree.
An arts aficionado, Baker has been active in the Columbia Stage Society, the Columbia Choral Society, the Columbia Drama Club, and the Carolina Jazz Society. He attends St. Joseph Catholic Church and is a longtime member of the church choir.
